july 20 - 25 !! Yolk !

oh yes, before i start the post,
i shall upload the pic of 10month pressie from baobei. =P
she made it herself. abit copy my style, using ice cream sticks.
a good effort! though lack logic. =p

but..!! nonetheless, its her FIRST time DIY something like that,
and thus encouragement is needed for her,
soooo... GOOD JOB BAOBEI WENWEN! LOVE YA! ^__^v

this is it! sweet eh?
copied my idea of using icecream sticks, and the stars.
HAHA. still remember the present i made for her?

HAHA this was what i made for wenwen for 7th month!
i think its really a MASTERPIECE. ^_^v
you guys agree? =]

but okay larh,
since wenwen gave me a wallet too,

which i quite like it alot,
i think i shld be happy le. =P

JULY 20th!

JULY 21st !!

xiang long and i playing a fool with the lion dance props. HAHA.

JULY 22nd !!

this was the day baobei and i,
went to collect my Roborovskis.
and my super huge GLASS tank.

we went all the way to AMK to collect the hamsters,
and to Woodlands to collect the tank.

while waiting for the person to come,
we walked Causeway Point !
its our first time there. =]

went to the Pets Station,
and bought a wheel !

this is it. affordable larh. ard $6.
Lets move on to the hamsters!

named them Roto and Roko.
cute arent they? =]

in case you guys dont know.
let me tell you the really good points of Roborovskiis.

1. They have very nice fur. Cute.
(patches of white fur around eyes like eye brows)
2. They have the longest lifespan of 3 - 3.5 years.
3. They are the MOST nimble hamsters, fastest when running.
Its also a bad point, as you wont be able to catch hold of them. =]
4. They are the SMALLEST in size for ALL Dwarf Hamsters.
5. They are the MOST Sociable among ALL Dwarf hamsters.
Even you put Robos of different backgrounds,
different family, different age together,
very seldom you'll see them fighting.

yupp! those are the practically ALL of their good points.
NEXT, lets move on to the tank.

the only reason why i chose to buy this tank,
is because it has dividers, and hamsters can be housed seperately in 1 tank. =]

its really huge. look! its taller than my bed.
and its made of glass. super heavy.

butttt.
im a REALLY REALLY lucky boy.

it fits, JUST NICE under my comp desk.
JUST NICE! geeee. im just so lucky... =]

JULY 23rd !!

this was the day i went to collect my Pearl Pudding.
now whats a pearl pudding you must be asking?
its a Pearl White (completely white) mixed with Pudding Genes.

instead of being orange like a normal pudding baby,

she's very light yellow in colour. =]

she's only 2weeks old. named her Yolk.

she's only 2 weeks old, really small if u compare her to,

Poodle !

or Poodee !

or maybe the ultimate obesed Pudding,

Nesa !!

so.. u can probably by now see, how small Yolk is. haha. ^_^

well.. comparing the colours.
poodee has darker fur coat,
both poodle and poodee are mixed puddings. not pure,
thus poodee has a darker fur coat,
while poodle has a fur coat near to that of a normal pudding.

COMPARING OF COLOURS! LETS SEE....

thats Poodle on the left, and Yolk on the right!
u can see how light the Yolk is.
okay.. maybe they are of different age, you may say.
alright, allow me to show u guys a picture of poodle and poodee,
when they're the Yolk's age.

this was Poodee when she was younger.
about the same age as my Yolk now.

this is Yolk's photo now. she's ard 2 weeks old. =]
probably by now u can see the differences.
a pudding when young, shld be orange in colour.

she's so small and fair in colour larh! cuteee.

JULY 25th!

lets start this post with pics of myself! =P

okay, check this out.
check out how small my school's practice rooms are. T__T

oh wells.
that day, after my concert in Lasalle,
we're in the school of performing arts,
so time to time we've our own people performing.

anyways, after the concert with some professor majoring in jazz piano,
i was free to leave.
so.... yup. i met wenwen up!

we went to serangoon area,
to get our big pack of bedding!
35litres, which is as heavy as a 10kg rice sack.
or EVEN heavier!
just look at how BIG the pack is!

its cat litter,
but most hamster breeders recommend it.
recycled paper content. =]

as that bedding is to be shared between wenwen and i,
so we split it on the spot. so its easier to bring it around.
warning, is that if u ever get a pack of bedding so big,
never attempt to bring it around alone.
damn sian one. will have to keep changing hands ever 1-2 mins. LOL.

upon reaching home,
i changed most of the beddings,
washed the cages and so on.

put them all in the sink!
the robos are cute eh? ^_^v

look! Yolk's definitely a Pearl Pudding,
as her colours in between that of a Pearl White and a Pudding.

july 19! Floss & Cream !

JULY 19th!

went to katong to collect baobei's hamsters!
free-of-charge! they are SYRIAN hamsters.
a larger version of Dwarf hamsters which we're having now.
they grow up to be as big as the size of a bunny, or a guinea pig pup.

so.. went over to her place to do her both cages for her.
look! baobei bought a CritterTrailTWO. the 2-storey cage,
which previously last month, i said that it was my dream cage remember?
the original price of it is around 68bucks,
she bought a 2nd hand one at $25. cheap eh?

and it was of GOOD condition,
no rusts, nothing at all, ONLY the inside was chewed badly,
and there was no running wheel.
but overall, its a good price!

right.. so look!

she has a CritterTrailONE which she bought from me,
and another CritterTrailTWO which i encouraged her to buy.
warhhh.... damn shiok larhhhh~~
both CritterTrail, a more famous brand you know!

walaoo.. i wan also dun have sia. =((

these are Wenter, Danter & Torter, the DWARF hamsters.
Torter was the Mummy hamster i gave wenwen. =]

these are Cream and Floss! the SYRIAN hamsters.

this is Floss, the long coat Syrian.
i dont know much bout the Breed of Syrians.
i think He's a LH (Long Hair) Silver Fox.
cant remember the breed.

and this is Cream.
she's a Red-Eyed Syrian.
as for the breed im not really sure.
look at the size of syrians. they're really big!
about the size of a bunny or guinea pig pup when fully grown!

Cream is an injured hamster.
but we still chose to adopt her in the end.

u can probably look at how horrible her wound is.
the shop owner said,
she was bitten until the whole PIECE of FLESH came off.
despite this flaw, i still decided to take Cream,
because, she survived this ordeal,
and that makes her really special. =]

thank goodness she wasnt bitten in the eye. =]
and we cant really expect much, becos after all its FOC.
its adoption. =]

july 13-18 update!

JULY 13th !!

this was the day i RE-ARRANGED my cage.
re-arranging your cage once in awhile is a good thing.
so they dun get bored of seeing the same environment. =]

i connected BOTH cages together.

these are the overall views.

JULY 14th!!

i RE-ARRANGED it again this day. =P
as i've purchased a 2ND HAND CRITTERTRAILTWO.
and had spare parts and platforms here and there.
yupp this is the final arrangement!

JULY 16th !!

the day wenwen and i went to collect and adopt another sapphire.
everything was given FOC.
in bad condition though. but oh wells. its FOC,
why not? haha.
the cage, the food, the hamster treats,
the leftoever bedding, accessories.
EVERYTHING was FOC.

venue was katong.

anyways, wenwen's slippers,
how do i phrase it...
u know that thing on slippers always comes off,
whatever its called, yar.
shall just use the word SPOILT.

haha. so bought her a cheap pair of slippers.
simple, but i quite like it. ^_^

wenwen's going crazy !!

haa..
so the person asked us to walk in.
u know those housing blocks opposite katong shopping centre.
quite rundown u know!
just take a look!

just like HDB,
smell of cat poo everywhere,
as there are stray cats everywhere. O_O

woooo hoooo! nesa and daddy pudding's cage is MUCH better now! ^_^

JULY 17th !!

still remember i was damn pissed with Winter this day.
as u know, i put all 8 my hamsters together in a cage.

they're,

winter, wintee (pearl whites)
poodle, poodee (puddings)
botter, butter (normal winter whites)
xiaohuo, xiaohei (sapphires)

and for 1 whole week, they were alright.
no fights nothing at all.
suddenly that day,
winter started attacking botter.
and botter was injured BADLY!
bleeding and stuffs.

my heart ached badly,
when i saw his injuries.

a bite on his nose.

a huge HORRID bite on his body.
sighhh..

i seperated him,
and allowed him to nurse his own injuries.
thank goodness nothing happened to him.
he's alrite now, healthy and alive.
im glad. =]

right now, i've seperated wintee and winter.

look at nesa and daddy pudding!
nesa is damn ROUND right. ^__^v

they're so scary now larh..
they were my tamest hamsters,
now they turned so aggressive.
daddy pudding comes after my fingers each time i put my hands into the tank.

he bit me the day before.
look.

OUCH....
BLOOOD....

JULY 18th !!

this was the day i went to purchase 2 Habitrail Spacestations.
both were 2nd hand cages,
one of ACCEPTABLE condition,
another as good as new. =]

i went ALL the way to Marsiling to collect.
another one at City Hall.
damn. Marsiling IS far.

imagine bringing TWO nicely assembled cage,
and walking around in mrt and in bus.
those sellers just dont know how to disassemble them,
and poor me, didnt bring a pen with me, (a pen is needed to disassemble)
so... u can probably imagine.
someone as small sized as me, carrying to huge cages.
everyone was looking at me larh. -____-"

there, these are the 2 spacestations.
one for $16, the other for $18.
the $18 was DAMN worth it.

its almost brand new, plus it comes with loads of accessories.

all these, plus the cage itself, for $18.
WOOHOO. good buy! =]

the package even comes with 2 bottles,
which buy the one on the left,

is CUTE. =]

this was the 5month sapphire i adopted.
he's damn fat and cute isnt he? =]

poodee's colour is changing. =((
sigh. she's nort a pure pudding.
but oh wells. i still love her. =]
