1st anniversary.

HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY DARLINGGGGGG!!

time passes so fast.
although its not Sept 26 again,
but its still counted as our 1st year,
as we count in weeks. =]

time has passed really fast dearieee.
still remember around this time back then,
around this month last year,
we were still as intimate,
calling each other xiaozhu dazhu,
lei lei, lei laa. everythinggggg.

thinking of everything just makes u smile dont u?
do u remember how much we often got each other affected?
well i do.. =]

these months,
we've been travelling loads.
maybe until now u're still not used to it,
for 12 months, 10months i was with u,
especially the 8months which i had holidays.
almost everyday u could see me.
maybe now my school started,
and u're still not used to it,
but try getting used to it alrighttt?

its even got so bad that we cant even celebrate our 1st year,
does celebrating even matter so much darlinggg?
maybe it does, but if we understand that both of us are busy with school stuffs,
busy with our own personal stuffs, den we shldnt get so affected u know?
i mean.. no one wants it this way either.. =]

4weeks a month,
24weeks a semester,
48weeks a year,
shld be more actually,
but cos we count differently.

but we're able to last this longgg my dearr!
we've lasted 48x7days = 336days.

we've actually lasted this longggg..
and im proud of it.
its only my 2nd relationship,
we did it my dear.. =]
I LOVE YOU!

thanks for all the joy,
all the tears, all the crap,
all the problems, all the shit u gave me. =p

i enjoyed every single moment of it,
and keep it going yar!
more joy, more crap,
less tears less shit okay? =PpPp

its been a year,
lets have a 1 year resolution now.

lets not quarrel or get unhappy over minor things,
a better way of saying it, is not get sensitive over things we shld not,
not get unhappy over things which is not worth,
and controlling our emotions and compromisingg.

GENERAL COMMENTS ON DEMO !!

okayyyy, i shall blog bout today's performanceee.
geee, really it was crapp, but after all it was a successful performance,
no hiccups, nothing went wrong.
except....... the microphone thingy.

alright so lets start all over from the beginning of the day.
prissy was late. -___-"
HAHA this girl is really cute la, we all agreed. -_-"
guess what. girl her age,
DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET TO BEDOK MRT!
HAHA my dear sister, u shld really traveeelll moreee urself!

really larhhh. serious, stop being daddy's lil girl okay!
just start travelling on ur own,
anywhere u want to go, and need directions,
just call XM or me, we'll definitely help out if we know. =]
reallyyyy just start exploring your country girl !

okay, back to topic,
prissy was lateeee, she cabbed down to bedok to find us,
den den, we took MRT all the way to Choa Chu Kang,
after which switch to LRT to Bukit Panjang.

felicia, prissy, xm and jason in the LRT.
no need look for me, its always the case im not in the photo,
most of the time i dont trust other people's photography skills,
like the other time, after SYF, my FULL section photo,
consisting of both PIT percussion, TITANS DRUMLINE and the Alumni,
i wasnt inside too. so.... yar, usually in group photos, dont expect to see me. =]

along the way,

i was really crappy and hyper larh.
kept crappingggg....
indirectly i pissed XM without knowing. -_-"
well maybe i do, but then when i ask her,
she wouldnt say.

XM arhhh. we've all known each other since 2004.
its been 2 freaking years. anythingggg u can just let us knowww!

cos i know we're not talking to each other as much as last time,
but u know, we've all got our busy lives, you have yours too,
i have mine, u got ur relationship, i have mine too. all busy busy~

maybe its my negligence in salvaging a good friendship,
but yarrr, i just wanna say, its not that i dun care, i still do
(okay wenwen's gonna kill me) HAHA.
okay, i rephrase it, WE still do care loads bout u XM.
especially priscilla and me.

we've known each other since 2004,
i know u wanna be left alone sometimes,
yes i know the feeling, as you and me, we're both emo people.
trust me, suitable time suitable place suitable mood,
we're able to adjust our moods. =]

okay, let me first roughly brief u guys on the performance area.
its held at bukit panjang plaza.
and there's a STAGE in the middle of the shopping mall,
where EVERYONE can see you,
and we're suppose to PLAY on the stage,
and also SING, for priscilla and me. -___-"

oh welllsss. the playing everything was crap, for the first round.
but our singing was good during the first round.

prissy, i've heard the recordings.
im not trying to sweet talk or praise u or something,
but really, u have a very sweet voice,
like what Paul said back then, really, ur voice is sweet.
with proper vocal training, and MUCH proper pronunciation of words,
it'd be greattttt.
as u're more english speaking u see. =]

thanks for being a great singing partner sis!
u were great, somehow, i feel i suck though. -___-"

OH WELLS. i wun give up,
i'll practise hard too.
i want to get a voice which I MYSELF is proud of someday.

i was singing halfway, and then it was a 2bar rest for me,
and my microphone CABLE, just DISCONNECTED and dropped onto the floor,
FOR NO REASON!
i din even press that 'gadget' to remove or disconnect.
thank goodness it was a 2bar rest.
if i were singing halfway, it probably gonna be damn paiseh. -___-"

alrightttt.
as the place had NO STUDIO for us to warm up nor practise,
most of us screwedddd.
no choiceeee, but guyss! it was a great performance really!

Felicia's Spirited Away theme which is from an animation so popular.

Jason's famous I Believe from the movie sassy girl really did catch ppl's attention i guess.

Priscilla's Take5 from the 12girl band, with its really really catchy melody line.

Ximin's Pirates of the Carribean, and Aladdin Medly which set people's hearts melting.

and of course, not forgetting my fast and furious songs.
coupled up with 1 or 2 ballads from disney and moulin rouge. =]
my performance was really great!
last min improvisation last nite for 'Your Song' totally works and it rocked!
however due to insufficient practice, 'Kill Bill' had bad endings. =X
'Kill Bill' is now my MOST impressive song,
yet i had to screw the last notes up for BOTH TIMES today. -___-"
geeeee. oh wellssss.....

singingwise....
no comments.. after hearing the recording,
i dun think my voice is as nice i think it is. sigh.
oh wellll........

but OVERALL!
guys, u all were really great seriously!
i really enjoyed every single moment today!
we had such a long day, which we've never had before!
someone like jason, whom we all thought was anti-social and quiet,
who would have know he's actually quite alright,
and he's only 15. -_____-"

hahahaa!
guys we shld really organise more outings.
and must SPECIALLY invite MR TAN alongggg,
we've been saying this for 1 whole year,
but never really plan.
maybe i'll plan soon! =D

Mr Tan will probably go crazy ALL OVER with us. HAHA.
with priscilla's nonsensical laughters,
and XM's crap with pris (that is if she 'tiao zheng xin qing' well =p) ,
and my IRRITATING(=P) crapping and teasing,
it'll probably be fun!

but guys, it was really OUR day today.
and i swear, i enjoy every single minute of it.
however we shld be more supportive,
and cheer for everyone's that performing!
we did cheer loads today i know,
but still, cos we performed thrice, some of us got sian,

august 9th

AUGUST 9th!!

this was national day,
wenwen and i went to hougang mall that day!
hehee. ever since few months back,
we've been travelling alot alot alot,
from bedok to tampines to parkway, katong,
raffles, marina, city hall, tiong bahru, jurong east,
boon lay (jurong west), novena, newton, ang mo kio.
chinese garden, serangoon.

just too many to actually name them out,
so that day, on random, we went to hougang mall.
was quite a small place.
we walked a few rounds, even shopped the SUPERMARKET. =D

baby honey baked ham!

saucisse cheese cocktail.

we took neoneo too! =D

oh btw, it was exceptionally quiet on national day.
not even much cars on reservoir road.

OOPS. HAHA.
u must be thinking we bought these too. NAH.
ran out of hamster food, so had to chop some carrots and cabbage. =]

FUSION COMMENTS.

well..
i didnt check my blog for 2 days.
wow. boy am i surprised to see the responses on my tagboard!
thanks dear friends!

however somehow,
at this point of time, if you guys were in my position,
u guys would know the inferiority within me.
its not im jealous or something. its just that...
well.. haha.

okay! lets blog bout today.
okay there was Fusion Workshop for the other 7groups who've not performed.
yuppp.
DAMN! i telll youuuuu...

group 11 was really SUPER today.
of all the 7 groups which performed today.
Group 11 was the ONLY group in which
more den half the music students STOOD UP and applauded!

group 11 compromised of 6 players,

- Vocalist
- Pianist or Keyboardist,
- Guitarist,
- Bass Guitarist,
- Drummer,
- Hand Drummer.

i really have so many comments bout their group.
the only reason why they can put up such a near PERFECT performance,
is becos of these factors.

1) Individual Techniques and Creativity (20%)
2) GREAT COMBINATION of musicians (40%)
3) Teamwork (40%)

POINT 1)

yes! no doubt they're all VERY good musicians technically,
damn. the drummer's drum solo was really terrific!
so was the bassist's and guitarist's !

i've heard the bassist play before,
his slapping and hammering of the bass guitar,
was really..... errrr. ... just left me speechless larh!
syah(my guitarist) calls him the BASS LEGEND. HAHA!

okay.. the guitarist was SUPERB TOO!
i think no other FOUNDATION student in Lasalle can play like him.
neither my bro or cousin jiajin can play like him.

the drummer was really good at filling in too!
his drum solo was like... damn niceee too.
however he looks pretty stiff from his arms onwards to his WHOLE upper body.
but his wrists are really powerful!

they even have a female vocalist who's a soprano.
as you can see, to be able to get into Lasalle doing Vocal,
must be of a certain standard. yuppp.

so actually their players are all superb!
including the indian fella who plays the hand drums,
and the pianist.

they all sure really know their stuffs,
technically and musically.

HOWEVER,
i just have to beg to differ.
thats NOT the most important factor.

POINT 2)

this point is MUCH more important.
their group was of the RIGHT combination!
they had practically EVERY INSTRUMENT which is essential
in a rock band.
some groups are really badly balanced,
like 3 pianists, 3 guitarists.
or 2 violin, 1 saxophone, 2 music tech, 1 piano.

yeah..
this point is definitely MUCH more impt than the first one.
because EVEN if u can get me the BEST guitarist in the world,
but whats the point if this best guitarist doesnt has anyone to back him up?

POINT 3)

last factor i wanna talk about is teamwork,
without teamwork, they wouldnt have jammed it so successfully!

yeah. my ex drummer Aaron who left my group,
he performed with the 2 people he teamed up with.
i was practically keeping quiet, and black face while he was performing larh.
its really pissing somehow.
just a msg from him that day saying "sorry guys, i left the group."
just a msg liddat, and nothing else.
din even bother explaining to us.

man..
oh wells.
if he thinks he's happy the way he is now,
oh well. god bless him.

his group did not bad. quite good i must say.
but i was shocked when many people agreed the way i do.
we all could PRACTICALLY see that.
yes, he's really really really good at drums.
he even PLAYS the drumset with feel.
and let me tell you, that stage of playin drums WITH FEEL.
playing drums so FREELY with no restrictions is really HARD to achieve.
but he has done it!

the only thing is, he's just TOO showy.
he always wans to overpower the other instruments.
there's really NO DOUBT that he's DAMN good.
but i dun like larh. proud showy musicians.

there's one thing he has gotta learn.
that HE CAN BE OUTSTANDING,
HE CAN BE SHOWY,
but he is NOTHING, if he goes on like this,
trying to steal limelight, and not work TOGETHER closely as a proper band.
geeee. he'll never progress.

oh wells.
i also started my MAIN STUDY today.
lasalle's abit disorganized larh.
they put me to the wrong instrument, guitar.
so for 3 weeks, i missed 3 main study lessons.
cos there was confusion going on.

anyway.
im doing Pop Piano as my main study.
my teacher is Belinda Foo.
surprisingly she knows Mr Tan too. LOL!
and has worked closely with Mr Tan when
they both played for the musical Forbidden City, and Lao Jiu.

she also told me she had written songs for loadsa OLD TIME SINGERS,
like wang jie, and alot more old singers, but that was 1-2 decades back? lol.
and she was also the JUDGE of electone festival when Mr Tan's student was competing back in dont know which year.

yeah..
so she's rather cute larh.
same kinda character as Mr Tan.
abit childish abit cute cute one HAHAHAHA!

learned something today.
plural substitutions of chords today.
and of course a few others which
i've either learned from mr tan, or learned myself.

she also advised me, to try to APPEAL to go to LEVEL 1.
okay maybe this is confusing you.
for lasalle,

1st year (FOUNDATION)
2nd year (Level 1)
3rd year (Level 2 Bachelor year, Diploma)
4th year (Lever 3, Degree)

yuppp.
she said with my chord knowledge of pop music,
foundation is really wasting my time.
she also mentioned that she is also teaching some Level 1 students,
who are STRUGGLING with chords which im able to do well now.
yuppp, but however i dun feel confident to take up Level 1.
reason being, im afraid i'll miss out the basics in Foundation,
and also i may not be able to cope in Level 1...

yeah..
so i've decided, i'll not appeal, unless she highly recommends me!

alright....
after Fusion Workshop,
i had 3 hours of break, so i went PS with Jarrel.
surprisingly saw Mr Tan there!
Mr Tan says im really blessed to be able to have 2 really good teachers.
yeah.. i guess i really am.
i better work hard,
and not let them down. =]

i will work hard!!
oh wells. okay... im tired.. its 3.05am already!

bad fusion, feeling inferior...

yesterday and today, so much has happened.

okay, this is gonna be a long post.
shall start it from the beginning.

i've been meeting jerrel up, since the 3rd day of school,
he was my first friend in lasalle.
yupp, then, we were informed to do this Fusion Project.

i guess i didnt tell you guys bout it?
or maybe i did. 72 students, grouped in sixes.
total of 12 groups, supposed to perform song.

yupp. my performance was yesterday.
it was TOTALLY screwed... its the drummer again larh..
Aaron. till today, u really make me dislike so much.
yesterday, 2 factors cocked up.
my electric guitarist got nervous and played his solo wrong,
my drummer forgot what we rehearsed and played wrong too.

so basically it was very crapp...
i wanted to make it the best.
YES it was one of the best, because it was totally different from the rest.
the other 5 groups, either did recording of their own originals,
or perform a song in their own way.
or the worst, recorded something which is like repetitions...

yupp. mine was YES indeed one of the best,
cos of the arrangement.

i arranged A Whole New World,
to NOT only be a ballad, but also ROCK.

i sang and played intro, interlude, ending.
juliany on the piano.
issyah on the e. guitar.
joseph on the bass guitar.
yong lin on the trumpet
aaron on the drum kit.

i played very little actually.
i really tried my best to be a good leader.
becos juliany is ONLY exposed to classical,
although she's a grade 7 pianist,
she NEEDS a score to play.
so no choice, so little time, only 13days.
she found the score, and i got her to transpose,
and let her play the verses.

while i did the singing.
i could have played better for this genre.
but becos if i played the piano,
what will she play?
yarrr.. soo.. i LET her play,
while i only play intro,interlude and ending,
and did the singing..

i even composed the trumpet part,
as a harmonising melody to my singing.

electric guitar, i composed solos for him.

and tada, the drummer's the most problematic.
i even WROTE A DRUMSET score.
cos he say "u can write score right? write for me den i play lor"
so i WROTE for him. in de end, he cant read for nuts.
i knew he cant read although he din admit it.
cos he probably look at the score, and play rubbish.
so i had to teach him by singing out the drum beat for him.

yet in the end,
he played his own rhythm.
irritating. I AM THE ARRANGER,
why cant u play the part i gave you?
whats worst, he ALWAYS have so many opinions.
its really hard working with him.

so yeah..
yesterday's performance was crappp..
although there're a few people came to me and say it was great,
and tell me my singing's not bad. ^_^

but yar. its crap larrr...
jamming session was even better back then.

i was leader for this first performance.
all i wanted was an OUTSTANDING performance...
looks like my group... din gave me one...

SIGH.
ANYWAY.
he msged us today,
and tell us he's leaving our group.
i felt sooooo...... arhhhhh.
luckily i have joseph, who's another drummer.
otherwise i'd feel so fffff up. lol.
great laaaa. leave lar!
problematicc...

oh damn.
why am i going so far from the topic.
yup yup.
i was saying, i've been with Jarrel since day3.
yuppp. den got to know his group members and so.
and also today, got to know his group members' friends.
in lasalle, everyone's so nice and friendly.

yupp. got to know this girl called Iris today.

she's really nice, quite a cute girl.

outgoing and really friendly.
she never fails to smile one.

really a very sweet girl.

however...... music wise....

i've not felt so INFERIOR for some timeeeeee.

Iris...
she's 17 this year,
taking Diploma from London College Music i think.
she's a classical student too.

i still remember yesterday,
after Fusion Workshop, i was with Jarrel and his group,
telling them this bout Juliany my pianist,
and making a very GENERAL remark,

"Classical Students are very SI BAN (dead). They would always need a score to play, and cannot improvise well at all. Only a SMALL percentage are outstanding and exceptionally good"

True enough.
Iris is one of the exceptionally good ones.

went to her studio with Jarrel's friends to watch her practise.
and we started conversing. she's really goodddddd.
classical music, she really plays with feel,
and her techniques..
its really awesome when u watch someone playing classical with feel.
most people play classical, and sit like a dead log.

but if THAT's only the case.
i wouldnt feel inferior at all..
the thing is, when i started playing the piano,
playing and improvising like how i usually do,
she could actually guess my chords, and play a melody line,
together and improvise too!

geeeee.....
looks like she has really done her homework.
she really does exposes herself to pop and ballads too.
and she can be on a par with me on improvising.

oh yes, and she also learns classical violin, and plays the flute.

although i've never attempted to test her chord knowledge,
like Cm7, of CMaj7, C7, C7sus4, CmMaj7, Caug, Cdim.
although i've never tested her on all these,
but her improvising can blend well with my chords,
already means her BASIC chord chord foundation,
are damn good already.

she has Perfect Pitch too.
u guys know the Lin Jun Jie's song? Cao Cao?
she said she listen to the MP3, and could play already.
same, i can do that too, because pop music is my forte,
but she can do that tooooo.....

so its like.. what i can do,
she can do toooooo.....
sighhhh. other than that,
she plays classical so well with feel,
her techniques everything are so good for a girl her age.

i've always 'comforted' myself,
on the fact that i can do something which classical students cant.
which is listening and figuring pop songs really fast,
improvising and playing freely.
i've always felt better that im no piano newbie,
cos what classical students can do, i cant,
but what i can, they cant too.
because i play self-taught piano,
and play piano in my own unique style.

but right nowww...
its the case when, what she can do, i cant,
what i can do, she also can do...
and she's only 17.

geeeeee...
she's really gifted.
christians are always gifted. =]

sighhh..
cant help but to feel really inferior...
just kept really quiet when listening to her play.
remained really quiet after that.

today when going home,
i took bus with Kelvin, Jarrel's friend,
who also know Iris.
uh huh.. Iris probably started around 4 years old.
thats what we both guessed.

so i told Kelvin, i started Music at 11,
and started self learning piano at 14.
so he says, im really fast. yup that did comfort me abit.

so i asked him, if i were to take classical music when i started at 11,
what grade would i possibly be? would i have been at grade 5 or 6?
he judged larh, he judged that i could even be at 7 or 8, if i took classical piano.

man man.....
if only i took classical piano back then.
classical has so much techniques which i dont have.
i really wanna improve, but is not easy....
seeing Iris play today, made me really inferior..
abit sad for myself...

sighhhh.
i need encouragement.
guys encourage me pls,
those who know what i can do,
pls adviseeeee.

update july27 - aug7

JULY 27th!

this was the day wenwen met up with me at parkway
during my 3hours brk from school.

muahhh i love wenwen.

we walked in Giant and saw a mirror,
and decided to do what we always do. =x

JULY 28th !!

this was the day i went to wenwen's place to pay a visit to her hamsters.
now this picture below is torter, the one i gave her 3weeks ago.

cute eh? she's now has a distinct pear shape,
becos she's PREGNANT !!

i thought to myself,
that i shld be expecting a litter in a few days time!

okay.. so when i got home that day,
i heard sounds from my cage.
went to take a look and this is what i saw.

Yolk got bitten. super fed up with hamsters sometimes.

look at how much she bled. sighhh.

Taxi, my chihuahua went for operation.
he is borned with only 1 testicle,
for some dogs, they're borned like that.

so tada, we went to had his other testicle,
which was hiding within his body, REMOVED.
so it was safer that way.
I LOVE TAXI SO MUCH!!

the chihuahua with 1 ball. ^___^v
yet still so hyper and jump super duper high. wheeee. =]

my pretty lady, Yoji , went for grooming too.
it kinda sucks i felt.
dont know why mum brought her for grooming.
she's already a short coat dog, she needs no grooming larh. geeee.

Yoji, somehow, just has SO MUCH loose skin. LOL. cute eh. ^_^

JULY 30th !!

this was the sunday,
where i went over to wenwen's place, and gave xiaohuo to her.
or rather, just put it at her place, not give her,
as her danter's lonely. =p

thats danter and xiaohuo.
look at danter and xiaohuo's colours,
they're both very special sapphires.

danter is a sapphire with pudding genes.
xiaohuo, i suspect, has pearl white genes,
because parts of her fur coat are very very light grey, almost white.

okay, this is Cream.
her left eye area which was bitten off,
is showing improvement, and fur is starting to grow !!
wenwen and i are really glad !
Syrian Hamsters are really big yar?

this was the day,
cousin and i, went all the way to jurong east & jurong west (boonlay)
to collect 2more pearlwhites & my tanks.

these are the pearl whites.
NOW im really pissed off.
i hate people who tell me they wanna buy hamsters from me,
den after i get them from my 'supplier', they say they dont want anymore.
irritating. and NOW im stucked with the burden of feeding 2more hamsters.
sigh.

okay.
so.. cousin and i went over to that person's house.
near NTU, to collect the tanks.
this are the pictures.

initially, i thought i agreed with that person.
30bucks
for these.

so i ASSUMED that i was ONLY collectin one 2ft tank,
2 wheels, 2 dividers, 2 bottles, 2 food bowls and a porcelain house.
which i thought was ALREADY DAMN worth it.

turns out to be, that when i reach his place,
he told me that it was $30 for,

THIS !!

TWO tanks WITH accessories.
inclusive of the iron stand. gawd.......
its not just damn worth it now.
is SUPER DUPER damn-ed worth it.
"WHY?" you may ask.

just a brand new 2feet tank alone, without accessories,
will cost up to $32 and above which i've checked.
although the tanks are not brand new,
but they're in SUPER good condition.
whats more, i paid $30 for not ONE, but TWO 2feet tanks,
which came with a total of FIVE Acrylic dividers,
which cost around a few dollars for each.
and also, the package came with 4 water bottles, 4 food bowls,
and 2 porcelain hamster houses!

mann.. how lucky can i get......
however, it came with a price to pay..
guess what happened to me the very nxt day.

which was ALSO a PUDDING.

okay, some hamster knowledge now. =X

Torter's last litter with Pudding Neka, was 5 pups,
consisting of 2 puddings, 3 normal winterwhites.
and this was quite a GOOD ratio.

normally,
pudding genes are NOT dominant at all.
and in this case, when pudding and winterwhite mates,
the ratio out of 6, would USUALLY be

2puddings : 4winterwhites.

as after all, normal winterwhites genes
are the MOST domineering ones.

HOWEVER,
Wenter is really potent. =x

Torter's current litter with Pudding Wenter,
is 6 pups, with a ratio of,

4 puddings : 2 winterwhites.

man.. this is really really really surprising.
and... im really glad larh. MAYBE i shall invest in wenter.
baobeiiii. i give u more female hamsters, u ask wenter mate them can. =X

mate already, i'll have ALOT of puddings for sale.

AUGUST 7TH !!

i tried styling my hair this day.
i know my hair is now quite long,
and cannot do crazy spikes like how i used to do,
so i wanted to try a Long Hair kinda styling,
u knowww.. those kinda wet hair styling.
styling and make ur hair look wet but in shape.

looks like i failed miserably.
the spikes remained,

but the shape... -___-"
think i failed miserably. LOL.
i missed my OLD hairstyleeeeeeeeee..
i've not styled hair for 2months!!

i miss this hairstyleee. =(
shld get a haircut soon. been saying it since june.
until now i have not got my haircut. LOL.

this was the day i washed my cage,
and changed the bedding again.
for those who like my cage layout,

HI GUYS!

SHANE IS BACK TO BLOG.
but of courseeee. been busy with school.
so no pictures. =p

i think even if i blog, i'll make them really short with lesser pictures now.
so sorry. but judging by the people tagging at the tagboard,
seems like my readers are decreasing..
sooooo. sigh~ somemore school's busy.
so looks like i shall blog less. =((

school's been rather sian lately.
certain lectures.. blablabla.

oh yes.
i just finished reading Keith's testimonials.

you guys remember keith?
remember i went for jamming session earlier in this year with sam moOmoO ?
yes, and there was this keyboardist,
he's a grade 8 classical pianist whom i say i din look up to?
HAA.
guess what. he's in the same school as me. -___-"
taking music too. lol.

geeeee.
its been quite a small world lately.
he doesnt seem so bad in person larh.
we talked a few times when we see each other.

and i've heard him play.
he's also not as good at improvising,
actually i realise now,
Grades are not important at all.

some people can have a Grade 8 Classical Piano Cert,
but they cant play pop well.
okay i was crude and rude.

some people can have a Grade 7 Classical Piano Cert,
but cant improvise for nuts.
like the gurl in my group. sighh.
i thought she'd be the easiest to teach,
however it turns out vice versa.

im not trying to say im good or what.
similarly, i suck at piano playing.

but im just trying to pinpoint that Grades are NOT important.

i still remember vividly,
there was 1 day, Mr Tan brought his piano student into studio.
that fella was only Grade 4 Classical Piano,
and has been learning for i think only 1 or 2 years.

DANG.
he was playing the Final Fantasy 7 Battle Theme on piano,
u know the theme we watch on FF7 Advent Children? GOD.

he's only a Grade 4 Classical Pianist, yet he plays like. WOW.

cousin has moved back to choa chu kang.
he has the WHOLE house to himself now.
he's staying alone in the house.

he must be feeling damn shiok.
can call his gf back to stay with him anytime he wants.

cousin moved back.
one person less to talk to now.
or rather. i've NONE to talk to at home now.

SICK

im feeling really sick now.
fusion workshop projects takes up so much of my time.

despite the harsh schooling hours.
i've to find time to organise sessions with my group members,
to jam with them.

there're 72 music students from all courses,
classical, jazz, pop, worldmusic and music technology.
divided into 12 groups.
each group 6.

all group has 6 students.
and every two weeks, they'll change a leader.
unfortunately, im the FIRST leader.

and when i WAS informed bout this fusion music project,
i was left with only 13 days to think and plan out what to perform.
other people in de group has MORE den 2 weeks to plan as the performances are held fortnightly.

but me, being the FIRST leader,
have only 13 days to plann..

despite the harsh hours of school,
in between i still have to find time to gather my group.

apart from that.
i've organised 3 sessions so far.
and not 1 of them was FULL attendance.
on wednesday was the worst.
only 1 turned up.

sighh..
group members why cant u understand what im going through.
i WANNA be outstanding,
i dont wanna go up on stage and perform SHIT u know?
im sure u guys dont want too.
and one thing i dont have is, TIME.
im so pressed for TIME.

till today, i only have 6days left.

u guys will never know how hard it is to arrange parts for every single instrument.
telling the guitarist how to play.
writing a guitar solo for the guitarist.
teaching the bassist how to play.
writing a harmonising trumpet part for the trumpet.
getting the drums to play what i have in mind.

the hardest to teach is the piano.
she's a grade 7 Classical Pianist.
and can only play classical.
its so hard to teach her. chords everything.
i've to play for her and she takes her time to write down de score.

no one understands how hard it is to be on the composing and arranging side.
how many times have u guys composed a song and teach ur members to play?
i have. TONS of times. when i was back in secondary school band.
composing drum cadences, and after that i STILL have to teach them.

how many times have u arranged music for ur members to play?
i have once again, and SOME OF THEM have SO MUCH comments bout what i've composed.
its not i dont listen. but since im the leader, whatever sounds good to me, i'll take in, however once ive decided that this part or that part HAS to be like that, i HATE arguments. u're gonna be leader SOON too RIGHT? so what for u have so much comments.
u can just jolly well shut up and play what i ask u to play.
and when its my turn, i'll play what u want me to play.

man.....
there're definitely ups and downs....
but this is really stressing me loads...

its not easy...
